Traffic Rider is a free first-person motorcycle game in which you ride at speed through live highway traffic, overtaking cars as closely as you dare. Riding fast and passing near-misses builds your score and extends the clock, while a single collision at highway speed ends the run.
The scoring is what shapes how you ride. Overtaking a car within a hair's breadth pays a near-miss bonus, and sustaining speeds above 100 km/h pays a continuous bonus, so the game actively rewards threading gaps rather than sitting safely in an empty lane. Time is also awarded for those bonuses, which means playing cautiously runs the clock out just as surely as crashing does.
The first-person camera is central to the difficulty — you cannot see far to either side, so lane changes are committed on limited information and reading brake lights ahead becomes the main survival skill. - Stay above 100 km/h. The speed bonus feeds the clock, so slowing down to be safe actually shortens your run.
- Read brake lights, not car positions. A vehicle slowing ahead tells you where the gap will be by the time you reach it.
- Overtake on the side with more open road behind it, so a sudden lane change from the car you are passing still leaves you an out.
- In oncoming-traffic modes, ride the centre line and commit early — hesitating between two lanes is what kills most runs.
