Subway Surfers is a free endless runner in which you sprint along live train tracks, dodging oncoming carriages, barriers and tunnels while a station guard and his dog chase you from behind. You swipe or press arrow keys to switch lanes, jump and roll, collecting coins and power-ups for as long as you can keep the run alive.

The core loop is simple and famously hard to put down: three lanes, an accelerating scroll speed, and obstacles that arrive faster the longer you survive. Trains can be dodged around, jumped onto or slid under, and the right choice changes depending on whether the carriage ahead is moving or parked. Rooftop sections open up when you grab the jetpack, giving you a stretch of coin-dense running with no ground-level hazards.

Coins fund the meta-game. Hoverboards give you one free crash every thirty seconds, the coin magnet pulls in everything within a couple of lanes, and the super sneakers let you clear two-carriage gaps that are otherwise impassable. Because the speed only ever increases, a long run is less about reflexes at the start and more about having enough hoverboards banked to survive the point where the game gets genuinely fast.

Scores climb quickly with a multiplier that builds as you run, so the difference between a 20,000 and a 200,000 point run is usually one or two extra minutes of survival rather than better play early on.

Run forward automatically and steer between the three lanes. Swipe left and right, or use the arrow keys, to change lane. Swipe up or press up to jump over barriers and onto trains; swipe down to roll underneath them. Collect coins as you go, grab power-ups when they appear in your lane, and tap your hoverboard to survive a crash that would otherwise end the run.
