About Stickman Hook
Stickman Hook is a free swinging game in which a stick figure grapples between anchor points using a rope, swinging through levels with momentum alone. There is no walking or jumping — you attach, swing, release at the right moment, and let physics carry you to the next anchor.
It is a pure momentum game. Holding the rope pulls you into an arc, and releasing at the top of that arc converts the swing into distance. Release too early and you fall short; too late and you are thrown downwards. The entire skill is reading where the arc will take you before you commit to letting go.
Levels introduce moving anchors, springs, boosters and stretches with no anchor at all where you have to carry enough speed from the previous swing to cross a gap. That last kind is where the game gets genuinely demanding, because the mistake that costs you is usually two swings earlier than the point where you fall.
How to play Stickman Hook
Hold to attach your rope to the nearest anchor point and swing. Release at the right moment in your arc to launch yourself towards the next anchor. Chain swings to build momentum and reach the end of the level. Falling restarts the stage.
Tips and strategy
- Release at the top of your upward arc, not at the bottom. Bottom releases throw you into the ground.
- Build speed across several swings before a long gap rather than trying to cross it from a standing start.
- When you fall short repeatedly, the problem is usually the swing before the one that failed.
- Let the rope pull you all the way through the arc — cutting a swing short loses most of its momentum.
