About Space Waves
Space Waves is a free reflex game in which you steer a small craft along a winding track through space, avoiding walls and obstacles at speed. Control is limited to moving up and down while the track scrolls past, and the run ends on any contact.
The design is deliberately minimal: one axis of control, a track that narrows and twists, and speed that climbs steadily. That leaves nothing to hide behind — every failure is a clear steering error and every attempt is measurably better or worse than the last.
The difficulty comes from rhythm rather than complexity. Obstacle patterns repeat with variations, so the track becomes partly learnable, and players who fall into the pattern's timing travel much further than players reacting to each obstacle individually.
How to play Space Waves
Steer your craft up and down to follow the track and pass through gaps in the obstacles. The track twists and narrows as you progress and the speed increases. Touching a wall or obstacle ends the run and returns you to the start.

- Stay near the centre of wide sections so you have room to move in either direction when it narrows.
- Small continuous adjustments hold a cleaner line than large corrections.
