Geometry Dash is a free rhythm-based platformer in which a square icon auto-runs through a course of spikes, saws and gaps, and your only input is a jump timed to the beat of the soundtrack. One touch of any hazard restarts the level from the beginning, which makes the game a memory test as much as a reflex one.

Levels are built to the music. Obstacles land on the beat, so once you stop watching the screen and start listening, sequences that looked impossible become a rhythm you can play by ear. This is the whole design: the soundtrack is not decoration, it is the timing cue, and players who mute the game find the later levels dramatically harder.

Game modes change without warning as you progress through a stage. The cube jumps, the ship flies and holds altitude while you hold the button, the ball flips gravity on each tap, and the wave moves diagonally at a fixed angle. Each swap resets your muscle memory mid-run, which is why a level you can clear to 60% can take another hour to finish — the last stretch is usually a mode you have had far less practice with.

Progress is measured as a percentage, and the game shows your best attempt, so improvement is always visible even on a level you have not yet beaten.

The icon runs forward on its own. Click, tap or press space to jump, and hold the button down to jump repeatedly or to keep flying in ship sections. Avoid every spike, saw and wall — a single collision restarts the level. Yellow rings give you an extra mid-air jump when you tap while passing through them.
