About Drive Quest
Drive Quest is a free horror driving game in which you follow a dark, empty road at night while something follows you. There is no combat and no weapon — the only mechanic is driving, and the tension comes from what appears in your headlights and what you glimpse in the mirror.
The game leans on restraint. Long stretches of road pass with nothing happening at all, which is exactly what makes the moments that do land work — a figure at the roadside, a car that was not there a second ago, a turn that loops you back onto a road you already drove. Because you cannot fight anything, the only response available is to keep driving, and the game uses that helplessness deliberately.
Routes branch and some of them loop, so part of the experience is working out which turnings actually progress the story and which are designed to disorient you. Playing with headphones is close to mandatory; a lot of the game's information arrives as sound before it arrives on screen.
