About Crossy Road
Crossy Road is a free endless arcade game in which you hop a character across an unending series of roads, rivers and railway lines. Traffic, trains and floating logs all move on their own schedules, and one mistimed hop ends the run immediately.
Each lane type asks a different question. Roads are a timing problem — read the gap and go. Rivers are a positioning problem, because logs carry you sideways and drifting off the edge of the screen is fatal. Railways are a commitment problem: the warning light gives you a fixed window and there is no way to retreat once you are on the track.
The screen also scrolls forward slowly, so waiting for a perfect gap is not free. That pressure is what turns a simple concept into a genuinely tense game — the safest choice is always available for a few seconds and then it is not.
How to play Crossy Road
Hop forward, left, right or back to cross the lanes ahead. Time your crossings between traffic, ride logs across rivers without drifting off screen, and cross railway lines during gaps between trains. The screen scrolls forward slowly, so you cannot wait indefinitely.

- On rivers, hop against the direction the log is drifting to hold your position on screen.
- Cross railway lines immediately after a train passes, not before the warning light.
