About Basketball Legends
Basketball Legends is a free two-on-two arcade basketball game featuring caricatured versions of well-known players, each with their own special move. It combines quick arcade scoring with real basketball actions — shooting, dunking, blocking, stealing and a super shot that charges as you play.
The special moves give it a fighting-game texture. Each character charges a meter through normal play and can spend it on a signature shot that is very hard to block, so managing when to spend that meter is a genuine tactical layer on top of the basketball.
Defence is more rewarding here than in most games of the type. Steals and blocks both work reliably if timed well, which means an aggressive defensive player can win possession battles rather than simply trading baskets. Two players can share a keyboard, and that is where the game is at its best.
How to play Basketball Legends
Move your player, shoot from range or drive to the hoop for a dunk. Press the block button on defence to contest shots and time your approach to steal the ball. Fill your special meter through play and spend it on your character's signature shot.
Tips and strategy
- Spend the special meter when you are behind, not when you are comfortable — it is your catch-up mechanic.
- Time blocks to the shooter's release rather than their jump.
- Drive to the hoop against slower characters and shoot from range against faster ones.
- Steals work best when an opponent is turning, not when they are moving in a straight line.
