About Ball Blast
Ball Blast is a free arcade shooter in which you control a cannon that slides along the bottom of the screen, firing continuously upward at bouncing numbered balls. Each hit reduces a ball's number, and when it reaches zero the ball splits into two smaller ones that bounce faster.
The splitting mechanic is what makes the game escalate. A single large ball is easy to manage, but destroying it produces two mid-sized ones, which produce four small ones, and suddenly the screen is full of fast-moving targets you have to dodge as well as shoot. Timing when to break a big ball — rather than breaking it as soon as possible — is the core decision.
Coins dropped by destroyed balls upgrade the cannon's fire rate and damage, and those upgrades are the difference between clearing a level and being overwhelmed. Because the cannon fires automatically, positioning is your only real input, and staying under a gap rather than under a ball is what keeps runs alive.
How to play Ball Blast
Slide your cannon left and right along the bottom of the screen. It fires upward automatically. Hit the bouncing balls to reduce their numbers; when a number reaches zero the ball splits into two smaller, faster ones. Avoid letting any ball touch your cannon. Collect coins to upgrade damage and fire rate.
Tips and strategy
- Do not break large balls immediately. Two fast small balls are harder to survive than one slow large one.
- Position under the gaps between balls, not directly under a target — your shots still connect and you stay safe.
- Upgrade fire rate before damage. More shots on target clears splits faster than bigger individual hits.
- When the screen gets crowded, stop shooting and focus on dodging until the small balls thin out.
